        4. Nature
        5. Death
      3. Luke 4:18-19 (NIV) "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour."

    4. Jesus’ announcement of the Kingdom
      1. Four propositions:

        4. The Kingdom has been delayed for a long time

Questions for Individual or Group Discussion:

  1. What can we glean from The Sermon on the Mount about Kingdom living?
  2. Has there been a time in your life when the ‘rule of God’ has differed from your own thoughts and values to the point where you have needed to make adjustments in your life?
  3. Think about a time in your life when you have experienced the power of the Kingdom of God over sickness.
  4. In Luke 4:18-19 Jesus speaks about ‘releasing the oppressed’ - think about a time in your life when the Lord has released you from things that were oppressing you.
